Bug Out Bag and Survival Kit Workshop

Event Description

In this workshop we will help you with the concepts to build your own Bug Out Bag, Get Home Bag, Bug In Bag and/or Survival Kit.

You could buy a bug out bag online and hope it fits your needs, situation, budget and abilities. Learn how to build a personalized bug out bag designed by you and for you. We will teach you how to put together a quality bug out bag and hopefully set you up so that you do not purchase tools that are crappy and will fail you when you need them the most. This workshop could save you thousands of dollars in broken, damaged or worthless cheap equipment.

In this course we will go over your basic requirements for a bug out bag or survival kit. We will discuss some do’s and don’ts of bug out bags and some common myths. If you have a bug out bag of your own, we strongly encourage you to bring it. Here’s your opportunity to compare bag sizes!

Length: 2 – 4 hours (depending on participation)

Minimum Recommended Equipment: We will not provide you with any gear, so please come prepared to build your bag. Fixed blade knife preferable a mora style or other bushcraft knife, outdoor clothing, boots, folding saw, paracord, overnight camping gear, backpack. During the workshop you will receive a Bug Out Bad Gear List for more ideas!

Suggested Survival Gear: You may bring your own bug out bag or survival kit. In fact we hope that you do. This is the perfect opportunity to solidify your gear choices.
